WORK WITH COMIC RELIEF
Comic Relief is one of the UK’s best loved and most widely recognised charities. We work to drive positive change through the power of entertainment, and our flagship events include Comic Relief, Sport Relief and Red Nose Day. Millions of generous participants and donors have raised an astonishing total of over £1bn in the past 35 years, all of which has gone to improving lives in the UK and across the globe.
Welcome to Comic Relief
Working at Comic Relief is an extraordinary privilege. We have a unique track record of producing large-scale events and campaigns that are both enormous fun, and extremely effective at generating charitable donations. Over the last 30 years, our highly recognisable brand and flagship events such as Red Nose Day and Sport Relief have encouraged millions of people to do fun and inspiring things; what’s more, they’ve raised over £1 billion for people living incredibly tough lives.
We continue to work towards our mission of a just world, free from poverty. There’s been extensive change over the last three years as we adapt to the digital present and future, reshaping our profile to be more relevant to a contemporary audience. This change has only accelerated as we respond to Covid-19. We are very excited to be recruiting for the roles of Executive Director of Impact and Investment, Executive Director of Fundraising and Creative and the Creative Director. These leadership roles are all fundamental to the work Comic Relief does, and will be pivotal to the organisation’s continuing success.
Those appointed will be at the forefront of our strategic planning and leadership in the coming years, maintaining our high profile in a modern media landscape and fast-changing environment, and I’m looking forward to hearing from highly expert candidates who demonstrate a distinctive energy and a passion for social transformation. The people who thrive at Comic Relief love fundraising, and are committed to making money available where it can be most effective – we fund the kinds of work that are most needed, and focus on identifying the point where systemic change is most possible. Strong candidates will also understand the profound importance of leading through relationships, and will bring appreciative emotional insight to all our work.
